About

I am having 9 years experience as an Oracle DBA, having worked in both OLTP and OLAP databases starting from version oracle 9i.

This blog is to store whatever I learn from my testing and reading from other great DBA blogs/books.

I love reading books on oracle DBA and going through Oracle community questions daily.

Below are some of the great books that really helped me in understanding oracle better. Most of the books are available in safari books online as well.

  1. Expert Oracle Database Architecture – Thomas Kyte
  2. Oracle Core: Essential Internals for DBAs and Developers – Jonathan lewis
  3. Troubleshooting Oracle Performance – Antognini, Christian
  4. Cost-Based Oracle Fundamentals – Jonathan lewis
  5. Effective oracle by design – Thomas Kyte
